- 2 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Combine sugar, salt and corn syrup in large heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil.

2Cook to firm ball stage (245° on candy thermometer), stirring occasionally.

3Add butter and cream gradually so that mixture continues to boil.

4Cook, stirring constantly until mixture returns to 245°.

5Remove from heat.

6Add vanilla, mixing well.

7Pour into buttered 9-inch square baking pan.

8Cool; turn onto waxed paper.

9Cut into 3/4 inch squares. Wrap squares in waxed paper.
