- 1 pt. (20 oz.) heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 oz. sugar
Directions

1Put the cream into a heatproof bowl over a pan of hot water and heat gently (do not boil).

2Beat the egg yolks with 2 ounces sugar.

3Stir in the cream.

4Divide the custard equally between 6 ramekins.

5Stand dishes in a roasting pan containing enough hot water to come halfway up the sides of the dishes.

6Bake at 300° for about 1 hour or until set.

7Remove from the pan and allow to cool, then chill overnight.
