- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 23 cup milk
Directions

1Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl, then cut in the butter with a knife until the mixture resembles bread crumbs.

2Pour in the milk and stir to make a soft dough.

3Knead on a floured surface board for about 5 minutes, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.

4Break the dough into lemon-sized pieces, roll these into balls and flatten to a thickness of 1/2 inch.

5Fry these in hot oil until they are golden.
