- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. plain flour
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs and flour.

3Gradually add buttermilk.

4Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1 cup boiling water. Gradually add to cake mixture.

5Bake at 350°.

6Batter will be thin.
