  • 4 ounces plain flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 14 pint milk
  • 14 pint water
  • cooking oil

Directions

    Sieve flour and salt into a large mixing bowl.

    Make a well in the centre and add half of the milk with the egg.

    Beat and add the water and remaining milk with a slosh of oil.
  4. 4
    Let the mixture stand for a good 30 minutes or so.

    Fry in batches, 2/3 minutes either side depending on size and how many you want to cook.
