Ingredients
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 3/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. shortening (part soft butter)
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Stir in sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and 2 cups flour; beat until smooth.

3Mix in remaining flour until smooth.

4Scrape dough from sides of bowl; cover and let rise until double, about 1 1/2 hours.

5Divide dough in half; roll each half into 12-inch circle.

6Spread with melted butter; cut into 16 wedges (I like to do this with a pizza cutter).

7Roll up each wedge, beginning at rounded edge.

8Place rolls with point under on a greased baking sheet.

9Cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour.

10Heat oven to 400°.

11Bake 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.

12Brush rolls with melted butter.
