  • 2 c. butter flavored Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 10 to 12 eggs
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring or vanilla
  • 1/4 c. evaporated milk

    Cream sugar and shortening well.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Gradually add flour, milk and flavoring.

    After mixing well, bake at 325° in a 10-inch tube pan for 1 1/2 hours.
