- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Directions

1Heat oven to 300 degrees.

2Grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

3Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy; blend in egg and vanilla.

4Add meal, flour and nuts; mix well.

5Spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
