- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 cups puffed rice cereal
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease two baking sheets.

2Beat together the butter, sugars, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and baking powder until well combined.

3Add the egg and mix well.

4Add the flour, combine, and then fold in the rice cereal.

5Drop by tablespoons onto the greased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.

6Bake the cookies for 14 to 16 minutes until light golden brown and a little dark around the edges.

7Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets.
