Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. dry pinto or kidney beans, parboiled
  • 1 qt. tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck, browned and drained
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped or 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 can tomato paste (with 1 can water)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    To completely fill crock-pot, add tomato sauce or water, depending on consistency desired.

    Put all ingredients in crock-pot in order listed and stir well one time.

    Cook on low 10 to 12 hours or high 5 to 6 hours.

    Hot and delicious.
