- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 17 salted soda crackers
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. nuts
Directions

1Beat egg whites until frothy; add cream of tartar and beat until stiff.

2Beat in vanilla flavoring.

3Crush soda crackers lightly with rolling pin.

4They should not be too fine.

5Mix well with sugar.

6Fold in egg whites.

7Add nuts; pour into 9-inch pie pan.

8Bake 30 minutes in slow oven (325°).

9Cut into pie wedge. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
