  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 2 c.sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Combine butter, sugars, egg and flavoring; beat about 3 minutes. Sift dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture. Add pecans and stir in. Shape in long roll. Chill several hours. Slice thin and bake on ungreased tin at 400° for about 10 minutes. Dough will keep in refrigerator several weeks. Makes 3 dozen.
