- 2 c. chopped cooking apples
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 egg yolk (beaten)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 egg white (beaten until foamy)
- 1 9 inch pie shell (unbaked)
Directions

1Put chopped apples in a large bowl.

2Add sugar, flour, egg yolk, vanilla, lemon juice and pecans.

3Mix until well until blended.

4Add egg white stir, pour mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and brown.

5Take from oven and let cool before serving.
