  • 1/2 gal. softened ice cream
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 can flaked coconut
  • 1 c. broken pecans

Directions

    Melt margarine at 300° in 13 x 9-inch pan for 10 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, Rice Krispies, coconut and pecans.

    Bake in oven for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Cool.

    Remove one-half of mixture.

    Spread evenly over bottom of pan.

    Spread one-half gallon of ice cream over mixture.

    Sprinkle the rest of mixture over ice cream.

    Freeze at least 2 hours.

    Serves 15 to 20 people.
