  • 4 c. or up to 46 oz. jar dill pickle slices
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. mixed pickling spice
  • 3 c. granulated sugar

Directions

    Slice dill pickles in thin slices into quart jar or slightly larger.

    Measure sugar on top of sliced pickles.
  3. 3
    Pour vinegar over pickles and sugar (do not stir; pickles make own juice syrup).

    Put spices in cheesecloth and put in with pickles.

    Cover and set in a cool place (can use refrigerator). Ready to use in a week to 10 days.
