- 5 lb. cucumbers (after peeled, cored and striped)
- 2 c. household lime to 2 gal. of water
- 1 box alum to 2 gal. of water
- 3 parts vinegar
- 1 box pulverized ginger (3 oz.) to 2 gal. water
- 3 parts water
- 5 lb. sugar
- 1 box pickling spice
Directions

1Use overgrown cucumbers that yellow.

2Soak cucumbers in lime 24 hours.

3Wash.

6water 24 hours and wash. Soak in ginger water 24 hours.

7Do not wash unless too strong with ginger.

8Just drain

9well. Combine vinegar, water, sugar and pickling spice.

10Soak cucumbers
