- 2 cans beef consomme (not broth)
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1 c. long-grained raw white rice
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
Directions

1Bring consomme to boil; add cumin.

2In skillet saute vegetables in butter until soft.

3Add rice and saute until golden brown.

4Put in a large casserole.

5Pour boiling liquid over rice. Cover and bake 25 minutes at 350°.

6Stir and check for doneness of rice.
