- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk plus 2 Tbsp.
Directions

1Stir shortening to soften.

2Gradually add sugar and cream thoroughly.

3Add vanilla.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

5Sift together dry ingredients.

6Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition.

7Pour into paper bake cups in muffin pans (1/2 full).

8Bake at 375° about 20 minutes or until done.
