  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 5 oz. sugar
  • 1 level Tbsp. syrup
  • 6 oz. milk (room temperature)
  • 8 oz. currants

Directions

    All ingredients are to be added one at a time and blended well.

    Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.

    Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.

    Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
