- 4 c. mashed cushaw
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. melted butter
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Directions

1Mix well cushaw, sugar, butter, flour and eggs in mixing bowl. Blend in baking powder, cinnamon and vanilla.

2Hand beat for five minutes.

3Pour into two 9-inch unbaked pie shells.

4Scatter nuts on top, if desired.

5Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until brown.
