- 4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Heat milk, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla hot, but not boiling.

2Beat eggs good (frothy) in large bowl.

3Pour milk mixture slowly over eggs, still beating.

4Put in oven in casserole at 450°. Let cook 5 minutes.

5Turn off oven and leave custard 5 minutes more.

6Let cool.
