  • 5 eggs
  • 4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Heat milk, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla hot, but not boiling.

    Beat eggs good (frothy) in large bowl.
  3. 3
    Pour milk mixture slowly over eggs, still beating.
  4. 4
    Put in oven in casserole at 450°. Let cook 5 minutes.

    Turn off oven and leave custard 5 minutes more.
  6. 6
    Let cool.
