- 2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 12 teaspoon vanilla

1Scald 1 cup of the milk in double boiler.

2In a bowl, combine cornstarch and sugar; blend in remaining 1/4 cup milk till smooth.

3Add to hot milk and stir till smooth.

4Add egg yolks gradually till mixture thickens.

5Cool and add vanilla.
