  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg (or to taste)
  • 2 c. milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 pie shell

Directions

    Beat eggs until light.

    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and milk. Pour in pie shell.

    Bake in hot oven (450°) for 10 minutes, until custard begins to brown on top, then reduce heat to 325°.

    Cook until custard is set (about 30 minutes).
