- 3 to 4 qt. popped corn
- 1 c. peanuts
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. light molasses
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Combine popcorn and nuts in a large container and keep warm in a 250° oven.

2In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter.

3Stir in remaining ingredients.

4Cook to 290° on candy thermometer (hard-crack stage).

5Slowly pour over popcorn and nuts, stirring to coat.

6Spread mixture in buttered 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.

7Return to 250° oven for 20 minutes.

8Stir after 10 minutes.

9Cool and break in pieces.
