1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 sq. baking chocolate
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. milk

Directions

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening with sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Continue creaming until light and fluffy. Beat eggs and blend in. Add melted chocolate when cooled. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating until smooth. Pour batter into 2 well-greased 8-inch cake pans. Bake in 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
