Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2/3 c. uncooked rice
- 1/4 c. onions, chopped
- 1/4 c. bell peppers, chopped
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 stick butter or margarine
Directions

1Mix ground beef and rice.

2Add onions and bell peppers.

3Mix. Cut heart out of cabbage.

4Put cabbage in kettle and fill 1/2 way with water.

5Steam until leaves are wilted.

6Remove cabbage and remove leaves.

7Roll a piece of hamburger mixture into a large meatball.

8Shape and put in base of unfolded cabbage leaf.

9Fold leaf sides in and roll up.
-
10Place in large pot. Continue with rest of leaves and mixture, placing a pat of butter in and around each layer.

11Fill pot with 3/4 water.

12Cook 2 hours.

13Salt to taste.
