Danish Breakfast Casserole

- 8 slices crustless bread
- 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 lb. sausage, browned
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 can mushroom soup
Directions

1Break bread into small pieces and put in bottom of an oiled 9 x 13-inch casserole.

2Cover the bread with the cooked sausage, then the cheese.

3Mix eggs, 1 1/4 cups milk and salt; heat well. Pour over the cheese.

4Refrigerate overnight.

5Preheat oven to 300°.

6Mix remaining 1/2 cup milk with the mushroom soup; pour over casserole.

7Bake for 1 1/2 hours.

8Makes 6 to 8 servings.
