Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley

Directions

    In saucepan, combine water and margarine; bring to a boil. Add flour, baking powder and salt, all at once, stirring vigorously.

    Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a ball that doesn't separate.

    Remove from heat.

    Cool slightly.

    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg until smooth. Stir in parsley.

    Drop dumplings from tablespoon to make 12 mounds on top of bubbling soup or stew.

    Cover and cook for 20 minutes. (Don't lift cover.)
