- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) oleo
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. flour
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Mix 1 cup flour and oleo like pie crust with 2 tablespoons water.

2Chill.

3Roll into two 3 x 12-inch strips.

4Boil 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter to rolling boil.

5Remove from heat.

6Add almond extract, then 1 cup flour, stirring until well mixed.

7Add eggs, one at a time.

8Put this mixture on top of pastry strips. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

9Frost with powdered sugar frosting. Sprinkle with ground or chopped nuts.
