- 1 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. water
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. sifted flour
- frosting
- chopped pecans
Directions

1Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour as for pie crust.

2Add 2 tablespoons water;

3mix with fork.

4Form into a ball.

5Divide in half and pat both onto large ungreased cookie sheet.

6Make strips, 12 x 4 inches and 1 inch apart.

7Put 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water in pan.

8Bring to rolling boil.

9Add extract; remove from heat.

10Stir in 1 cup flour; stir well to keep from lumping.

11When smooth and thick, add eggs one at a time (whole); beat until smooth.

12Divide in half and spread on prepared crust.

13Bake in a 350° oven for 60 minutes, until crisp and brown.

14This will be high, but will fall when removed from oven.

15Using your favorite frosting recipe, frost each puff, then sprinkle with pecans.
