- 1/3 lb. butter
- 6 eggs
- 2 1/3 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 lb. raisins (I use golden)
- 1 qt. pecans
- 1/2 lb. dates, chopped
- 1/2 lb. candied cherries
- 1 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. cream
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- dash of nutmeg
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add beaten eggs and mix well.

3Add 3 cups flour and liquids.

4Blend thoroughly.

5Add 1 cup flour to nuts and fruit.

6Coat well and add to batter.

7Line a large tube pan with paper and grease well.

8Pack cake batter into pan.

9Place in water bath canner and steam for 1 1/2 hours.

10Remove from canner and put in 320° oven for 30 minutes or until done.
