- 1 lb. dates, chopped
- 1 heaping qt. pecans (whole)
- 1/2 lb. butter, melted
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.

2Pour over nuts and dates.

3Mix.

4Melt butter. Cool. Beat egg yolks and mix with butter.

5Pour over flour and nut mixture.

6Mix well. Beat egg whites. Fold in mixture gently.

7Pour in tube pan (sprayed with Pam).

8Bake 55 minutes at 325°.
