  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted, chopped dates
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Cook butter, sugar and dates until thick.

    Remove from heat; add nuts, vanilla and Rice Krispies.

    Dip with teaspoon and roll into balls.

    Roll in powdered sugar or coconut.

    Let cool on waxed paper and store in cookie can.

    Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
