- 2 cubes of margarine
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1 well beaten egg
- 2 cups of finely chopped dates
Directions

1Mix together and cook over a very low heat, bring to boil and boil 2 minutes, be very careful not to scorch.

2Remove from heat and add 2 cups of rice Krispies and 2 cups of chopped nuts (we like walnuts but you can use pecans).

3Mix well.

4Cool a few minutes so you can roll a large teaspoonful into balls.

5Then roll in coconut.

6Be sure to work fast enough so your coconut will stick to the balls. These can be frozen in a tight container for several weeks.

7They will also keep well in a tight container just for eating.
