- 2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 c. chopped dates
Directions

1Cook sugar and milk over medium heat (stirring constantly) to soft ball stage (235°).

2Add dates and pecans.

3Let cool.

4Turn into a buttered pan.

5Knead until creamy and stiff.

6Shape into a roll.

7Wrap in damp dish towel or waxed paper.

8Chill and then slice.

9Makes approximately 1 1/2 pounds.
