Date Nut Balls

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 (7 oz.) bag shredded coconut

Directions

    In a skillet, melt margarine; then add sugar, egg and dates. Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil (10 to 12 minutes).

    Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla.

    With wet hands, roll a teaspoon of mixture into a ball. Roll in shredded coconut.
