  • 1 lb. dates
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. cooled boiled water
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Blend butter and sugar together.

    Sift flour, baking soda and salt and add to butter mixture alternately between flour and water.

    Add nuts and dates.

    Blend well.

    Pour into a loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
