- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 12 cups whole wheat flour
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 14 cup melted shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup sour milk
- 12 cup molasses
- 12 cup dates, chopped
- 12 cup nuts, chopped
Directions

1Sift flour, and baking soda, add whole wheat flour and sugar.

2Combine wet ingredients.

3Add dates and nuts into dry mixture.

4Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.

5Stir until all the flour has been moistened.

6Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake at 325F ofr 1 hour.
