  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 12 cups whole wheat flour
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup melted shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 12 cup molasses
  • 12 cup dates, chopped
  • 12 cup nuts, chopped

Directions

    Sift flour, and baking soda, add whole wheat flour and sugar.

    Combine wet ingredients.

    Add dates and nuts into dry mixture.

    Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.

    Stir until all the flour has been moistened.

    Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake at 325F ofr 1 hour.
