- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. chopped dates
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cook first 4 ingredients for 4 to 5 minutes until thickened. Keep stirred well.

2Cool, then add last 5 ingredients.

3Mix well. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.

4Bake at 250° to 275° for 1 hour.
