- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, finely crushed
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 3 egg whites, beaten to stiff peaks
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 cup dates, chopped
- 12 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- whipped cream, lightly sweetened (for garnish)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F and grease a pie plate very well.

2Combine cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt.

3Add sugar gradually to stiffly beaten egg whites, continuing to beat.

4Fold in the cracker mixture and add dates, nuts and vanilla.

5Pour mixture into prepared pie plate and bake for 25 minutes.

6Cool.

7Cover with whipped cream and serve.
