Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 c. boiling water
  • butter (size of egg)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 c. dates, cut fine

Directions

    Put first three ingredients in pan you are going to bake your pudding in.

    Bring to boiling point and boil ten minutes. Combine the rest of the ingredients.

    Drop in spoonfuls into syrup if thick and bake in a hot oven at 450° for 15 minutes.

    Serve with whipped cream.
