- 1/3 cup instant tapioca
- 3 cups cold water
- 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Whipped cream
Directions

1Combine tapioca, water, sugar, and dates in a small Dutch oven; stir well. Let stand 5 minutes.

2Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat; chill 1 hour. Stir in pecans. Chill until serving time.
