- 5 eggs, beaten
- 13 to 14 slices toasted bread, made into bread crumbs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 pt. half and half
- 1 c. milk
- 1 stick butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. seedless raisins
Directions

1Toast bread before making bread crumbs.

2(This is the secret for making good bread pudding.)

3Scald milk and pour over bread crumbs. Cool and add remaining ingredients, mixing well.

4Pour into an 1 1/2-quart casserole pan.

5Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
