  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. Southern cane syrup
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust

Directions

    Boil sugar and syrup together 2 or 3 minutes.

    Beat eggs, not too stiff.

    Pour slowly into hot syrup; add the butter, vanilla and pecan pieces.

    Turn into raw pie crust and bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until set.
