- 4 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. Southern cane syrup
- 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust
Directions

1Boil sugar and syrup together 2 or 3 minutes.

2Beat eggs, not too stiff.

3Pour slowly into hot syrup; add the butter, vanilla and pecan pieces.

4Turn into raw pie crust and bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until set.
