Death Row Salsa

Ingredients

• 2 large, ripe tomatoes, chopped (with juices)
• 1 yellow onion, chopped
• 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
• 1 Tbsp. chili powder (or to taste)
• garlic powder to taste
• fresh, diced jalapenos or crushed dried chilies (use as much as you wish, but remember what happens the next morning; hence the name of death row)
• 1 to 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
• oregano and salt (optional and/or to taste)
• 1 tsp. Louisiana hot sauce (optional; I like adding this)
