  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix (with pudding)
  • 3 c. chopped pecans, divided
  • 3/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 2 cups pecans, butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

    Stir well.

    Press half of mixture into a greased and floured 9 x 13 baking pan.

    Bake in 350° oven for 8 minutes.

    Remove and set aside.
