- 6 c. pared and sliced apples
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, divided
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. old-fashioned oats (uncooked)
- 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Lightly grease 8-inch glass baking dish.

3Place half of apples in dish; top with corn syrup.

4Add remaining apples, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg. Combine 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, sugar, salt, butter, flour and oatmeal.

5Mix well and press firmly over apples.

6Bake 50 minutes. Top with ice cream and serve.
