- 2 12 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 (1/4 ounce) packetactive instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 12 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans whole tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons fresh basil
- 2 teaspoons salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, sliced thinly
- 1 tomatoes
Directions

1To make the crust, combine the yeast, salt, sugar, 1 cup of the flour and the cup of warm water.

2Mix thoroughly.

3Since you aren't proofing the yeast first, the water needs to be a bit hotter than usual.

4Add enough of the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour to form a soft dough.

5Knead it for a few minutes, then put it back in the bowl, cover and set aside to rise.

21Bake at 425F in the middle of the oven for about 45 minutes or so.

22Since it's so thick, it takes quite awhile for the filling to heat all the way through.
