- 1 twinkie
- 1 c. plain flour
- 1/2 c. corn flour
- pinch baking soda
- milk or beer
- oil for deep frying
Directions

1Chill the twinkie by keeping it in the refrigerator.

2DO NOT FREEZE.

3Mix the flours and baking soda together.

4Add milk or beer (beer gives lighter results) until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream.

5Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but do not allow oil to smoke. Remove the twinkie from refrigerator, coat completely in the batter.

6Lower into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

7Can sprinkle fried twinkie with powered sugar, cinnamon or add some fruit toppings.

8Kids like theirs topped with chocolate syrup.
