Ingredients

  • 3 qt. deer meat
  • 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 12 to 20 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 4 c. water

Directions

    Mix ingredients all together.

    Cut meat into thin strips; soak in mixture overnight in refrigerator, covered.

    Put toothpicks through the end of each slice and hang on oven rack.

    Cook at 150° for 4 to 7 hours with oven door slightly ajar.

    Bake according to how chewy or crispy you want.
